If you're planning a trip to the Loire Valley, consider staying in chambres d'hotes, or bed and breakfasts. You'll get great accommodation and very good value for money. Here is a selection of top bed and breakfast accommodation.
The Loire Valley is a glorious place to visit. It was the playground of the kings and aristocracy of France, so chateaux are dotted along the riverside like jewels in the necklace of a queen. Many of the great chateaux of France are found here: Chambord, Chenonceaux, Cheverny, Chaumont, Azay le Rideau and Blois.
Unless otherwise stated, the bed and breakfasts here have no restaurants. But there are plenty of restaurants nearby and the owners will be happy to advise and make a reservation for you.

This old mill with a stream running right beside it is a real delight. You enter through a large wooden gate into a courtyard where chickens scratch the earth and a cat sits purring in the sun by the old well. Inside the names of the rooms are all associated with Mozart, and are decorated with gorgeous antiques, pictures and delightful objects.
