The cellphone you use every day at home just might work while you're visiting France. It has to fit various standards first, however, and the roaming fees might be insanely high. Or it's possible you can get onto a French network for far less money. Find out how and if you can use your phone in France.
Abroad Phone Rental
This company offers phone rentals ranging from about $35 weekly in France. Incoming calls are about a dollar a minute, and outgoing calls are up to almost $2 a minute.
Rent-a-Cellphone
This U.K.-based company rents cell phones all over the world. A Nokia can be rented for as little as $6 daily, plus charges per call.
In-Touch USA
This company doesn't mention prices online, but they offer both wireless phones and satellite phones (which can get a signal virtually anywhere) for rent in France.
