Here is a list of some of the primary attractions and destinations on St. Martin:
- Marigot, the capital city of St. Martin, is possibly the most French in spirit of all the Caribbean islands. Colonial houses stand beside tiny cafes and bistros, pastry shops and luxury boutiques. Close your eyes, listen to the French being spoken and youd swear you were in the heart of a little French market town on the Continent. A shopping center at the southern end, Marina Port la Royale, has tres elegant stores and the latest in European designer fashions and fine jewelry, all tax free. The entire city is only 4 streets wide, so it is quite easy to get around.
- Paradise Peak, rising from the center of St. Martin is "Pic Paradis," a height of 1,400 feet. Spectacular views await those who venture to the top.
- Orient Beach is a site particularly enticing due to its wide expanse of velvety white sand, and an underwater marine reserve with an outstanding coral reef perfect for snorkeling. At one end is a naturist beach and the entire beach is clothing-optional. A dizzying array of aquatic sports awaits, from water-skiing to kite-surfing.
