While most people know Disneyland Paris (unless they've been living on Mars), there are other spectacular theme parks in France that are relatively little known outside the country. One of these is the wonderful Puy du Fou in the Vendée, western France between Nantes, Poitiers and Bordeaux.
Puy du Fou is enormous with its own medieval towns and villages as well as a fort, and suitably romantic hotels to enter truly into the spirit of the past. There are also five separate shows, running from the Vikings to Richelieu's Muskateers. There's a reproduction Gallo-Roman Stadium where you can watch gladiator fights and chariot races and a worrying looking show of lance fights on horseback. Even the website is pretty exciting with videos giving you a taste of what there is on offer.
If you're anywhere near the park, I thoroughly recommend a day or a day and overnight stay where you can buckle your swash to your heart's content.
If you can't make it to Puy du Fou, try some of the other theme parks in France; you won't be disappointed.

Hey just wanted to give you a quick heads up.
The words in your post seem to be running off the screen in Chrome.
I’m not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to do with browser compatibility but I figured I’d post to let you
know. The style and design look great though!
Hope you get the issue resolved soon. Cheers
Many thanks for this. I am not sure why this is happening. I’ll try to find out and correct.
