Once again, the small village of La Gacilly in Morbihan, southern Brittany, comes alive with an outdoor photographic festival which runs all summer until September 30th. This year it's taken as inspiration the last United Nations summit in Rio in June, 20 years after the historic summit of 1992, committing to promote a green economy throughout the world. Brazil was asked as the honored guest, so expect to see some extraordinary images. Also here is a homage to Robert Doisneau who created some of the most iconic photographs of Parisian life.
Over 400 images are to be seen in the little village which effectively becomes an outdoor art gallery. La Gacilly is in a beautiful part of Brittany and well worth a visit in its own right. Yves Rocher lived and worked here and you can visit his botanical garden where he studied, book a session at the La Gree des Landes Eco-Hotel Yves Rocher.
