The onset of winter always brings out the creative instinct so you might consider a weekend with the Circle of Misse. Based in the Loire Valley, these courses give you the chance to try your hand at more than one discipline in one weekend. So you can try writing, cooking and/or painting with their expert tutors.
Weekends last from Friday evening to Monday afternoon and the price (£295 based on single occupancy) includes everything from all food and wine, hotel, transport and any admission fees as well as course tuition. And if you book one place, you can bring a friend for £99 (based on two people sharing a room).
There are two weekends left: September 24th-27th and October 1st-4th, 2010 but this is a well-established company and you might want to book for next year.
