Make a Resolution to Visit France
Thursday January 1, 2009
If France has always been a dream, but never a reality, make this the year you resolve to visit France. Yes, the dollar is performing poorly against the euro. Maybe you think only people with trust funds do France. You're absolutely wrong, though. It is possible to visit France, even on a budget.

Have you always wanted to visit France, but never been there? Add a comment below about your dream France trip, or what's stopping you from going.

emails are making the rounds here of terrible attacks on Jews in France: i.e. pedestrians in the streets getting beaten up; school bus bearing children to Jewish school getting attacked; gunshot to kosher butcher & shop; attacks on synagogues - I know these did happen a yr or so ago..is this still going on?
Honestly, I haven’t heard of any attacks since around 2003. I just did a Google News search and didn’t see a thing. This may be a rumor. I have always found France to be very safe…
There have been some riots in the past few years, mainly in immigrant areas of big cities like Marseilles. They are generally not in areas where tourists would commonly go and would not normally affect tourists. I don’t believe there haven’t been any major problems recently. I’m planning to spend a few days in France this spring.
I have already booked my flight, hotel, etc. for France this year. Definitely am going. This will be my 6th trip to France and can’t get enough of the country. Sure, the dollar is weaker but proper planning and budgeting will maximize the experience.
