Epcot France

Sunday December 7, 2008
France EpcotIt isn't easy to replicate France in a small spot in Orlando, Florida. But at the France Pavilion at Epcot's World Showcase, they are trying. The cool part? You can find some cool French imports. I haven't seen so many tablecloths and dresses made of Provencal fabrics since I lived in Nice. It was also fun to practice my rusty French with some French Disney World cast members. Oh, and sampling the recently-released Beaujolais Nouveau was a great treat!

The bad part? A rubbery, flavorless crepe and some not-so-French coffee at a boulangerie there.

Still, if you miss France (or long to visit France) but you can't get there, this is a fun way to get a little taste of France.

I long to visit France and spend many an hour sitting outside at the France pavillion. I sip wine and eat some cheese.
