If you go to Sete, be sure to eat mussels. We’ve stopped in Sete several times enroute just to eat the tasty mussels that come from Sete.
And when you are at Ville Franche sur Mer you should consider a suite at the Hotel Welcom.
@Martha and don’t forget the Sete Oysters
I’ve been to a lot of the beaches on the list but my favourite or the place where I’ve had the most fun has got to be La Grande Motte for the water sports. I like a beach with activities - I can’t just lie on a beach and get a tan! In terms of location for me it’s the Ardèche. The area is beautiful and great for cycling around. We booked through a company called VFB Holidays and stayed in a stunning old cottage for the whole family. I love the food and wine like everybody else and the pace of life seems spot on! I can’t wait to go back there
Oh, the link hasn’t come up. Here it is: VFB Holidays
I love the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantique Ocean, but what about the Manche?! The coast near the Manche is also beautiful. There are so many charming villages in Normandy, such as Honfleur or Granville, and the famous Mont Saint Michel of course!
During the summer, I highly recommend the beaches of the Manche for happy vacation with children!
