Tour de France 2007 - Orthez to Gourette - Col d'Aubisque

Orthez on the Tour de France 2007Today the Tour de France starts in Orthez, a charming Bearn city that has a noble history and beautiful architecture such as Moncade Chateau. It is also a popular destination for water sports, and features traditional ferias (bullfights).

Gourette on the Tour de FranceThe stage ends by scaling the Aubique pass, with inclines up to 10 percent and a rich Tour de France history. The cyclists will pass the Gourette ski resort, which got a recent 50 million euro upgrade to expand the skiing station.
