Tour de France 2006 Stage 7 - Saint Gregoire to Rennes
Today's Tour de France route begins in Sainte-Gregoire, a village of about 8,000 people that features 170 acres of parks and serves as a training ground for kayakers. The day's racing ends in one of France's loveliest cities, Rennes. The capital of Brittany, this vibrant and attractive city worth a visit to see the medieval-style timber-framed buildings alone.
For more on the area, see the Brittany Picture Gallery, which features a photo of timbered facades in Rennes. Also plan a trip to the region with the Brittany Travel Guide and Trip Planner. See a map of train and road travel distances, which features Rennes.
