Tour de France 2006 Stage 4 - Huy to San Quentin

Wednesday July 5, 2006
Today's route leads riders from Huy, a cycling-lover's paradise. This year alone, it will host stages in the Tour de France, the Giro and the Tour of Belgium. Every year, the Flèche Wallonne, has its finale here. The tour will end in San Quentin, located at the center of the Paris-London-Brussels triangle. It was voted the second most sportive town in France.

Today's results:

Robbie McEwen, Australian, took the lead of the stage at the right at the end to claim his 10th Tour stage win, beating Isaac Galvez by about 10 meters.

The top 5 in Stage 4:

  1. Robbie McEwen (AUS - DVL)
  2. Isaac Galvez (ESP - CEI)
  3. Oscar Freire (ESP - RAB)
  4. Thor Hushovd (NOR - C.A)
  5. Tom Boonen (BEL - QSI)
