Cannes Film Festival 2006 - United 93 and Clerks II
On September 11, one flight never made it to accomplishing the hijackers' terrorist mission. Filmed in real-time, United 93 is screening today at the Cannes Film Festival. With a cast of relative unknowns, this film attempts to capture the experience of this fateful and notorious flight.
Another much-anticipated film, especially among Kevin Smith fans, is the screening today of Clerks 2. According to the synopsis: "At the age of 33, New Jersey mini-mart clerks and best friends Dante Hicks and Randal Graves have it made, they work with each other, slack off all day, and get paid for it. But when the local Quick Stop that has been their entire life and livelihood suffers a cataclysm, Dante and Randal have to do the unthinkable: find new minimum-wage jobs."

Is that all a bit too heavy for you? What could be less intense than a Kevin Smith flick? Show your apathy with style with this cool Kevin Smith Inaction Figure (hilarious!) or spend an evening with Kevin Smith.
