Tour de France 2005 Daily Blog - Stage Seven

Friday July 8, 2005
Lunéville is the starting point for today's activities. A great stop for adventure travel enthusiasts, there is an adventure park, paintball, bungee jumping, canoeing, kayaking, mountain biking and horseback riding. The architecture here is amazing, including a castle, synagogue and theater. The tour dabbles across the German border, ending in Karlsruhe. This youthful and modern city's claim to fame is that it is the birthplace of the bicycle.
Results and standings

Robbie McEwen won today's stage, taking the seventh stage in his second Tour de France 2005 victory. His main rival, Tom Boonen, came in sixth of seventh place. An Illes Balears rider crashed with just 200 meters to go, but didn't take any other riders with him.
Lance Armstrong finished 54th, with the same time as the winner. He will wear the yellow jersey for another stage tomorrow. There was no change to the top general clasisification.
