Tour de France 2005 Daily Blog - Stage Six

Thursday July 7, 2005
The racers start today in Troyes in the Champagne region. It is an ideal destination for fans of the sparkling wine and of shopping. Its narrow streets feature timbered buildings, and the cuisine is divine. The day's riding ends in elegant and refined Nancy, which features amazing 18th century architecture (including a cathedral) and squares.
News
Stage Six closed with a massive crash that left the peleton in shambles and lifted Lorenzo Bernucci to the win. He was only in the front of the stage for the final 300 meters.
