"Where the Truth Lies," directed by Atom Egoyan and starring Kevin Bacon and Alison Lohman, is about a girl found murdered in a hotel room after partying with two celebrities. Years later, a journalist decides to delve into the mystery. Here is an excerpt from "Last Days":
RECORD EXECUTIVE: Hey you.
BLAKE: Hey.
RECORD EXECUTIVE: Are you free?
BLAKE: Huh-mm. Sorta.
RECORD EXECUTIVE: Free enough to play that guitar?
BLAKE: Mm. Yeah. I haven't been playing very much.
RECORD EXECUTIVE: Have you uh, talked to your daughter? Hmm.
BLAKE: Hmm. Yeah I've been talking to her on the phone.
RECORD EXECUTIVE: What do you say to her?
BLAKE: Hmm-mm. I do the voices she likes. I don't know. I tell her I miss her.
RECORD EXECUTIVE: Do you say, "I'm sorry, that I'm a Rock and Roll cliché?"
