American Travel To France Declining

Sunday June 29, 2003
France tourism officials have seen a whopping drop of about one-fifth of the Americans traveling there in the first quarter of the year, according to an article in the Christian Science Monitor. While the French say the economy is more to blame than anti-French sentiment in America, they recently launched the "Let's Fall In Love Again" campaign to lure Americans back with hot deals.

I’m going to Paris next week and am thrilled. Got a great 4 day “Paris Museum Pass” that’s only $105 for my partner and me. It also includes Chateau de Versailles and Arc De Triomphe; It also included entry in to over 25 museums such as the Louvre (and you don’t have to wait in line. Bonus. I’m sure we will have a great time but the dollar continues to slip against the Euro, which doesn’t make it easy for us to keep going at $1.33+ for every Euro….but I’m going to have a great time here and then on to Barcellona. Cheers!
